Join us on the Second Tuesday of every month for our Monthly Drive-Thru Food Pantry.
For residents of Vanderburgh County only. Please bring your ID.
We typically serve around 150-200+ food boxes of generous size, depending on resources available. See new procedures below for how to receive one.
Update on new procedures:
We begin to distribute the boxes at 1pm, but many start to get in line early to ensure they get served while supplies last.
We have decided to implement a new system where as you pull into our lot, we will distribute a number to you that corresponds to one of the finite boxes we already have made up. When we have given out all the numbers, we will turn you away to avoid your potentially waiting for nothing or not enough to warrant the wait time. While you wait, someone will approach your car and take the household information and your number. Thanks for your patience and understanding as we re-evaluate and re-work our systems, hopefully, to your benefit.
If you are interested in helping with our food distribution, we are always in need of volunteers the day before our distribution as well as day of. If you can help with both of these or even a portion of time during one or both of these days, that’s great too! Please come on out! This is a good way to be a part of something bigger than yourself and help others, and have good fellowship while doing so!
How can I help?
Both Monday and Tuesday, we meet from about 10-3. Lunch provided both days!
On the Monday before, we unload, sort, and stack the food items on tables, take shopping carts and load two separate boxes of both dry & “wet” goods, and stack them in preparation for the prompt distribution on Tuesday. Tuesday morning when we gather, We finish anything that didn’t get done the day prior and add any items that needed to stay refrigerated such as meats and dairy before loading them into peoples cars until they’re all given out.
