The Cathedral has something for everyone! We welcome everyone from all walks of life into our community, and would love to meet you. We know that visiting a church for the first time can sometimes be an overwhelming experience, but having an idea of what to expect can certainly help. To learn more about what to expect at The Cathedral, check out our Missions and Values and keep reading!
What To Expect
It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time, so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one.
We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you’re joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than what you’re wearing. Some people dress up and some choose to dress down. Come the way that you feel most comfortable.
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. We have live upbeat worship with guitars, drums -the works, as well as intimate songs of worship. Everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means singing, clapping and raising their hands, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. At The Cathedral, you’re welcome to do what comes from the heart in praise to God.
Each week there is a time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings. As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives. It also gives our church the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
In every service you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.
Communion (The Lord’s Supper)
We celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long as they’ve made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.
WHEN SHOULD I SHOW UP?
We have 2 weekend services for you to choose from; Sunday at 8:30 am and 10:45 am, (with Sunday School in between) and most services features programs for infants and children all the way through high school.
So that you won’t feel rushed, we do recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the service so that you have time to drop off your kids at their programs and make your way over to the main auditorium.
